ABC - DEF - GHI - JKL - MNO - PQR - STU - VWXYZ

Market Capitalization A measurement of corporate or economic size calculated by multiplying a company's current share price by the number of shares outstanding; also called a market cap.
Maturity Date The date a long-term investment becomes due and payable.
Mortgage Debts Debts including first mortgages, home equity loans, and any other loans secured by your real estate, including second homes and investment property.
Mortgage Deed A legal document establishing a loan on property.
Mortgage Guarantor A person who promises the lender to repay the mortgage debt if the principal debtor defaults.
Mortgage Offer A formal written offer outlining the terms of a mortgage loan.
Mortgage Term The number of years or months over which you pay a specified interest rate; terms range from six months to 10 years.
Mutual Fund A portfolio of stocks, bonds, or other securities operated by an investment company.
Net Income The income left after taxes (or other expenses, if applicable) are deducted.
Notice of Correction An explanation of circumstances or statements disassociating you from the details held in your file. If you feel that the information contained in your credit file may adversely affect your ability to obtain credit, you have a statutory right to add a Notice to your file.
Occupational Pensions A form of deferred compensation, usually advantageous to employee and employer for tax reasons.
OEIC (Open Ended Investment Company) A fund structure which offers shares in a company, rather than units in a trust.
Off Balance Sheet Financial activity structured so that the transactions don't show up on a company's balance sheet, even though they may affect the company's available credit, debts, etc.
Offshore Funds Funds based outside the tax system of the country in which an investor lives, popular for their tax-saving advantages.
Ombudsman An official representative of a public agency or private organization appointed to investigate, mediate, and resolve consumer complaints against local agencies and programs that may be infringing on the rights of individuals.
On Balance Sheet Any expenditure that shows on a company's balance sheet.
Open Account An account that is still active or still being paid.
